Apply the rust eater by spraying, brushing, or dipping, and for best results, use it at temperatures above 70 degrees Fahrenheit or 21º C. If you plan to paint the surface, allow it to dry thoroughly for 2 hours before applying oil-based, urethane, or epoxy paint. If the treated area will not be painted, simply allow the product to work for 1-2 minutes before rinsing with fresh water, towel drying, and applying a protective oil.
